Karen will be analyzing the outcomes of CFHI programs, as well as mentoring international partners to increase capacity building for research and assessment within and between our partner communities. Karen brings experience as the previous Director of University of Colorado’s Global Health Track and the Evidence-Based Medicine Thread. She is currently adjunct faculty at University of Denver and Georgia State University and is pursuing a Masters in Theological Studies. Previously, Karen has worked at the Centers for Disease Control and completed its prestigious EIS fellowship. Karen is dedicated to transformative global health immersion and ascribes to the following humanistic mantra:
“The only real voyage consists not of seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes; in seeing the universe through the eyes of another, one hundred others- in seeing the hundred universes that each of them sees.”
-Marcel Proust
CFHI warmly welcomes Dr. Gieseker and is enthusiastic about the skills she brings to our organization.
