Position: European Advisory Committee
CFHI Alumnus
Katharine discovered an interest in global health and health promotion during her medical degree at King’s College London. As part of her medical elective, she took part in CFHI’s Tropical Medicine Programme in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. This helped to instil in her the importance of community-based medicine and providing help for deprived populations. She also spent time working in a family development centre in Guatemala. She went on to complete her medical degree and specialise in Primary Care. Katharine is currently completing her training to be a General Practitioner. She works in a busy GP Practice in North London, and has recently helped to set up a Mother and Baby Group for deprived and isolated mothers in a nearby community.
