Mariah Blevins graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in May 2021. Over the course of her life, she encountered key health issues firsthand that led her to develop a passion for pursuing a career in public health and health promotion. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a focus in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences at San Diego State University.

Before coming to CFHI, Mariah had the opportunity to work with adolescents in her community who struggled with mental health challenges. She also acquired hands-on experience implementing youth programs that encouraged healthy living and social responsibility. Mariah is excited to be working with CFHI this year to expand her knowledge on key health issues and explore the field of global health. Through supporting the organization with programs, research, communications, outreach, and administrative tasks, Mariah hopes to take away a better understanding of how the world works– an understanding that goes beyond the average perception. Lastly, she hopes to make a true difference, big or small, in the lives of others.

Outside of work and school, Mariah loves to play soccer, spend time with animals, go on hikes, and eat delicious food!
