The Emerging Global Health Leader 2-Week Scholarship is designed to support students who are committed to advancing health equity and serving marginalized communities.

This scholarship provides critical funding to help you access ethical, community-centered programs and gain the skills you need to become a leader in your field.

This scholarship is for students who:

  • Are ready to take the next step in their journey toward becoming a leader.

What the Scholarship Provides

The Emerging Global Health Leader Scholarship helps cover the costs of a CFHI program fees. Our programs offer the opportunity to:

  • Learn from Local Leaders: Engage directly with our Global Teams and community experts who are at the forefront of health solutions.
  • Gain Real-World Experience: Apply classroom knowledge in a dynamic, cross-cultural setting.
  • Build Cultural Humility: Develop the self-awareness and empathy needed to work effectively in a diverse world.
Eligibility

Any current student enrolled in an undergraduate, post-bacc, graduate or post-graduate program participating in a 2-week intensive global health program in Delhi, Durban, Kabale or Tarija taking place in 2026 is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Applicants must show a demonstrated commitment to global health, especially through advocacy, political activism, capacity building, and conscious consumerism.

Award Details

One student will be selected to receive a $1975 award that will go toward the program fee of a 2-week intensive global health program in Delhi, Durban, Kabale or Tarija taking place in 2026.

Deadline

Scholarships are reviewed on a rolling basis and awards are announced three times per year — in November, March, and June.
