Amy Krzyzek joined CFHI as Assistant Director, Africa, Asia-Pacific, & US Programs in 2019. She brings to the team seven years of experience managing education programs in the Global South, with a focus on connecting Global North visitors to grassroots organizations and rural communities.
Prior to joining CFHI, Amy worked at Health In Harmony (Portland, OR), facilitating planetary health education programs at a clinic in Indonesian Borneo. She also worked for buildOn (Chicago, IL), leading service-learning trips for students and funders to build primary schools in Burkina Faso, Haiti, Malawi, Nepal, and Nicaragua.
Amy received her B.A. in International Studies and Environmental Studies from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her M.A. in International Education from New York University. She is particularly passionate about the transformative power of global education - and the ways that students are motivated to make changes in their own communities upon returning home.
