At CFHI, we believe that global health exposure and education is not just about international experiences—it’s about shaping compassionate, culturally informed future professionals who can make a difference both abroad and at home. Yet, for many students—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—financial barriers make these transformative learning opportunities out of reach. For over 30 years CFHI has provided transformative community-based month-long experiences in 10 low and middle-income countries under the auspices of “Let the World Change You.”
By participating in our Sponsor a Global Citizen, you’re helping to build a stronger, more inclusive United States population and healthcare system. Your support covers CFHI program fees for a student who would not otherwise be able to participate—$1,985 for a 2-week program or $3,025 for a 4-week program—enabling future healthcare and publc health leaders to gain real-world experience, deepen their understanding of diverse healthcare systems, and develop the cultural humility needed to provide better care for all patients.
This investment isn’t just about global health—it’s also about local impact. The knowledge, skills, and perspectives students gain through these experiences enhance their ability to provide equitable, patient-centered care in communities everywhere. A doctor, nurse, or public health professional trained in global healthcare settings is better prepared to connect with patients from culturally diverse backgrounds, address health disparities, and advocate for policies that lead to a more just and effective healthcare system—both globally and in their own communities.
