Julie Wieland began working with CFHI as a volunteer in 2012. She is a human rights champion, yoga and meditation instructor, and a lifelong advocate of enhancing and working towards the empowerment of the underserved in the US and abroad. She has worked in non-communicable diseases and reproductive health across East Africa. In addition to her extensive experience in international development, Julie is also a seasoned trauma informed yoga instructor. She has developed and delivered workshops to address gender-based violence and PTSD, among others. Julie has a B.S. in Human Biology from the University of California, San Diego and an MPH from Touro University. She has traveled extensively in Europe, South Asia and Africa and now resides in Washington, DC. Julie is honored and proud to be a member of CFHI's Alumni Advisory Board.
