Amani Ramiz is a rising junior at Rice University. Majoring in Cognitive Sciences, she is a summer 2017 intern for CFHI. Amani's passion for global health stemmed from a personal event. In the summer of 2014, her uncle suffered from a heart attack in Bangladesh. Ever since then, she's been committed to global health and underserved communities. In her free time, she explores local museums and small coffee shops. A native Houstonian, she is enjoying her summer in San Francisco. For example, she has been happily surrounded by dogs, especially corgis, in the beautiful city.
