Alessandra is a Master of Public Health graduate student in her final year at the University of San Francisco. As the daughter of a refugee and an ESL professor at UC Davis, Alessandra has always felt a deep connection with global health and cultural diversity. Before her summer internship at CFHI, Alessandra interned with the United Nations-mandated University for Peace headquartered in Costa Rica. During this educational global health internship, she learned the importance of interculturalism and healthcare delivery, capacity building, environmental health and sustainability, and health and human rights regarding international migration and women. In her spare time, Alessandra loves to hike and paint, and is incredibly passionate about traveling.
